Our Online October Half-Term Year 5 Course offers the students a headstart in the marathon that is 11+ preparation. The purpose of this course is to revise topics that our students have learnt in previous academic years with a particular focus on introducing how to apply this knowledge in an examination setting to achieve top marks.
This course will be conducted on an online learning environment called BigBlueButton, where students will have the undivided attention of our expert tutors and an exclusive space to focus in small groups on collaborative, interactive and individual study.
This course runs from 24th to 28th October, Monday to Friday. Each day, classes will run between 9am and 2.15pm. Each subject that you select will run for 60 minutes per day (except VR&NVR being 90 minutes), with a short break after each class.
Your timetable will be bespoke to you, as it is entirely dependent on your chosen subjects and availability, and will be confirmed to you once booking closes in October.
Students will be given a daily homework task for each subject. Homework should be uploaded online every night.
The following day, homework will be marked and returned to you with teachers comments to give rapid feedback on progress, strengths and weaknesses.
For the remaining work, markschemes will also be made available for you to view on the online portal at your own convenience, and review/marking should be completed at home. These will remain available for viewing for 3 weeks after the end of the course.
5% discount is applied for 3 subjects combination booking.
10% discount is applied for booking all 4 subjects.
We will book students on to our courses on a first-come first-served basis, with 'All Subjects' bookings taking priority. All other combination of subjects will be offered a place depending on availability.
