For YEAR 7 ~ 9

English, Maths and Science

Our English lessons for KS3 help students to develop and hone their technical and creative writing skills. They are guided to study and analyse a range of fiction and taught using a range of strategies that make learning accessible, challenging and fun with many opportunities to complete extended writing in a real context. Our classes directly prepare students for the rigours of GCSE. Our teachers give detailed feedback to each individual student and set targets, which will help students to advance to the next level.

Many difficult concepts and topics are introduced from the beginning of KS3 Maths; this can be quite a jump from Year 6. Our KS3 Maths courses guide students to study with material targeted at their individual level and homework is set each week. Our lessons have five attainment targets, which relate directly to the sections within the programme of study:

  • • Processes in Mathematics
  • • Number
  • • Algebra
  • • Shape, Space and Measures
  • • Handling Data

Students find our Science courses to be very helpful at this stage as they advance towards more complicated topics in preparation for GCESs. We have found that Physics, in particular, can be more challenging as complicated mathematic formulae are introduced. This is when students need to focus on creating a solid foundation of knowledge of the subject in preparation for their upcoming GCSEs.

Special Courses

Summer Intensive Course

These courses introduce work at a higher level so students can become more confident as they start their new academic years. To ensure that our courses are beneficial and of the highest quality, our teachers have spent great time and effort in planning the lessons.

Mock Test

Our Mock Tests aim to help students build up their confidence and help eliminate the fear of formal tests. All Mock Tests are done under real exam conditions to help students experience similar environments to that of the real entrance exams.

Half-term & Holiday Courses

Holidays can become a little bit tedious with the same old activities over and over again. So, why not send your children to OxBridge Centre during holidays for our fun-packed classes that will both challenge and encourage them to learn?
