Although most children in year 2 have little difficulty in speaking and listening in English, it is still common for them to struggle with spelling, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation. Our English classes have been designed to guide the students, step-by-step, to build solid foundations in these areas. Each week, a specific theme is set to add an element of fun into the lessons; the students will learn how to answer reading comprehension questions based on this theme. Our lessons have proven to be highly effective in encouraging young children to get a firm grasp of the fundamentals of the English language, while having fun. |

Our year 3 English classes train students to express their own ideas with accuracy and correct punctuation. Throughout this course, pupils will increase their vocabulary range, improve their use of sentence structure and their knowledge of linguistic terminology. With a specific theme each week, our lessons enable students to develop their knowledge and skills in reading non-fiction around a wide range of subjects. They will also be encouraged to build on what they have already learned, in particular using varied vocabulary, accurate grammar and narrative structures. By the end of the course, students will have a firm grasp of the English language in preparation for the years ahead. |
Our SEM Maths classes cover all the topics featured in the National Curriculum. Throughout this course, students will learn to stretch their abilities further, by ensuring sound understanding of all topics. The areas which students tend to find more challenging are taught with more focus. In particular, repetitive practice of calculations in areas such as addition and subtraction, have shown to build quick and accurate mental arithmetic skills. Although these skills are repeated throughout the course, it is taught in a fun and engaging manner to aid effective learning.

The weekly workbooks cover a wide range of different topics, which also enhances the students’ ability to tackle different types of questions, including problem solving questions. They have also been uniquely created and specially designed to bring out the fun in maths, with the goal to help students see the enjoyment in maths. Throughout the course, students will not only become quick and accurate in their calculations, but they will also develop solid foundations on which they will easily build on more advanced mathematical skills.
