Who We Are

Our Background

Since its origin in 1997, OxBridge Centre has developed from humble beginnings. The very first class was set up in a simple living room with only seven students taught by a single teacher. Over the next years, OxBridge Centre began building up a strong reputation throughout the local area as the place to take your child to achieve 11 Plus success. The demand for classes rapidly increased as word spread of its high success rates. Today, OxBridge Centre schools over 550 students between years 1 and 13. Many of its pupils were acquired through word of mouth and personal recommendations, following the successful results year after year, which clearly demonstrates the high quality of the classes.

Although OxBridge Centre has grown over 50 fold to this day, its principles have always remained the same – to support and guide each and every individual, to ensure that they feel confident and achieve the very best of their abilities.

Our Philosophy

We maintain that learning should be fun and are committed to encourage students to fulfil their maximum potential. We also take pride in helping those who may struggle more than their peers, to study independently and efficiently. We teach specific study tools and methods in our lessons, which help encourage all our students to not only improve their practical study skills, but also to enhance their overall knowledge of academic subjects.

A combination of our small class lessons at the centre, together with students’ independent work at home, have proven to produce excellent results.

Lessons, conducted after a normal school day, have proven to be the most effective in improving students’ performances in various school subjects. Students taking our 11+ courses have consistently achieved high pass rates, securing places at Tiffin School, Tiffin Girls’, Nonsuch, Sutton Grammar, Wilsons, Wallington as well as many highly ranked independent schools such as Eton College, Westminster, Winchester, St. Paul’s, Lady Eleanor Holles School to name a few.
